Built in the UK by the person who answers the support messages

I'm Josh. I build SortedMate, and I build websites for trade businesses round Cheshire and Merseyside. The app came out of watching those businesses quote on the back of receipts and chase invoices by text.

It's early days, and I'd rather say so than make up testimonials. The app is live, the first trade businesses are running their work through it, and what gets built next is what they ask for. If something doesn't fit the way your trade works, you're telling the person who can change it.

Is SortedMate really free to start?
Yes. The Starter plan is free for as long as you like and there's no card to give. It covers 5 quotes, 5 jobs, 5 invoices and 10 customers, enough to run a few real jobs through it before you decide.
Which trades is it built for?
Electricians, plumbers, heating engineers, builders, joiners, roofers, landscapers, plasterers and decorators. If you quote for work, do it and invoice for it in the UK, it's built for you. VAT and UK payment terms are there from the start.
How does WhatsApp Capture work?
You link your WhatsApp once. From then on, forwarding a customer's message to Sorted creates an enquiry with the name, address, phone number and job written out for you, and tells you whether the address is inside your service area.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. SortedMate is a web app that installs on your phone from the browser, on iPhone and Android, laid out for use in the van. Native apps are in development. Shrink this window and the demo above switches to the phone layout.
Can my customers pay online?
Yes. Turn on SortedPay, which runs on Stripe, and every invoice goes out with a link to pay by card. Card payments mark the invoice paid on their own. Your bank details stay on the invoice for customers who'd rather transfer.
Does it connect to my accountant's software?
SortedMate syncs invoices to Xero and QuickBooks. Native HMRC Making Tax Digital submission is in development and is not live yet, so for now returns are filed through your accounting package as usual.
